Pulled a gallon and a half of nasty brown water out of the Miata with the water extractor. Went from “utterly soaked” to “slightly moist”. Gonna leave the doors closed and the windows cracked and the rest should go away. Then gonna hit it with the water extractor again and some Simple Green to kill off any flora that decides to take root in my car.
Ah, yes. Much better.
Sun’s out, seats out.

That’s great that you had access to a water extractor! If you have a dehumidifier, you could set it up inside the car overnight.

That’ll help. I expect that you’ll get some steamed widows and a very humid cabin. But dropping the top should help to evacuate that moisture. If you cycle it open and closed over the course of a few days, you should be able to get most of it out.
I think you’d get better results with a dehumidifier, though.

I’m doing what I did with my Civic. Leave windows up to build heat, crack them to evacuate moisture, repeat. Eventually just leave the windows cracked a little and it’ll take care of itself within the day.

Buy a bag of crystal kitty litter, fill a sock with it, then leave the filled sock in the car. The kitty litter will absorb the moisture.
